IV. Observation on Teacher

4.1  Planning for Teaching

Baguio City National High School is big school that have Chemistry as one of the subject program in BCNHS. My Cooperating Teacher is Mrs. Rowena L. Esteron  that teacher there almost  5 years. She asked me to observe her class. Then i come with her. She introduced me to the students and gave me time with them to know more about each other.

4.2  Preparing Lessons and Materials

Teacher Rowena  arranged  her lesson plans and materials by herself, referring to the lesson plan that used by BCNHS. She always prepare the stuffs before teaching, and she brings that things into the class. When I observed her class, she brings manila paper that have prepared before the class, with the scissors and glues. So the students will be more interesting and excited while learning with Ma’am Rowena.

4.3  Teaching in Class

     When I observed Teacher  Rowena’s class, she taught about “Respiratory in Human”.  She used manila paper and LCD while teaching. First, she greets the students and begin the lesson with Do Now activity. She asked students about their activities before going to school. Then, she continue with the second step, Purpose. She tells the students about the purpose of this lesson. So she explain about the Respiratory in Human and  read  together the text that she prepared on LCD also in paper.

     The third step is Work Mode. She gave worksheets to the students and wait for them to finish it. She always looking around to make sure that the students do their worksheet. The last step is Reflective. So she recall the lesson that has been taught and make sure students can understand about Respiratory in Human.

4.4  Measurement and Evaluation
